I’m still using version 1.0; both versions 1.1 and 1.2 cause problems for me.
I double-click on the plugin icon, it launches TextMate, installs the plugin, pops the dialog asking if I want to check automatically or later, then hangs (clicks to the dialog are not acknowledged). I have to force-quit TextMate. When I relaunch TextMate, it pops the same dialog and hangs again.
I suppose I should look for a mailing list or bug tracker to submit this to.
I have the same problem as Craig S. Cottingham with both version 1.1 and 1.2 of Project Plus. I don’t have version 1.0 to try it with.
Basically, if Project Plus is installed, every time I launch TextMate, the Project Plus dialog asking if I want to check automatically for updates comes up and both the dialog and Textmate are unresponsive to mouse clicks and key presses. I have to Force Quit Textmate and uninstall Project Plus to get TextMate to run.
This is on MacBook Pro, OSX 10.4.11 (no Leopard yet!).
A work-around for the hang reported by me and by Craig S. Cottingham above: use the Property List Editor to open the file “~/Library/Preferences/sh.ciaranwal.projectplus.plist” and add the SUEnableAutomaticChecks property. Set its type to Boolean and its value to “Yes” or “No”, depending on whether you want automatic update checking or not.
I love this plugin but there is one issue that has been annoying me to no end. My favorite part about it is ability to sort, especially the folders on top sort, but the sort continually gets out of wack. It seems like the sort doesn’t apply to the contents of collapsed folders. It would be great if this problem could be solved in some way.
Very nice plugin! However I’m having an issue with it… I enabled Git SCM in the prefereces but it seems like the SCM badges only get updated when I first load a project… if I make changes to a file after that and save (without committing) the SCM badges do not get updated… If I close the project or quit TextMate, then re-open, now I can see the updated badges…
Hi, are you still actively working on this plugin? If not, would you consider releasing the source so that some of us might continue the work you’ve done? There are several enhancements and look and feel things that would be nice to see happen with ProjectPlus. Especially since it isn’t compatible with any other plug-in out there that has anything to do with project management. =(
So far the plug-in works perfectly. Seeing SVN status is very important for me. One problem: the status icons do not cascade up the folder hierarchy. So if a file is changed in foo/bar/, the status for foo does not change. This makes the status much less useful for me, so I am hoping this can be fixed. Thanks.
Probably a bit late, but Shift-Tab will take you back to the editor window from the project pane in one press. This is the same as the default project drawer and is in the TextMate official docs.
One issue that I think is a bug – after I commit changes to my mercurial repo the SCM status overlays are not updated. It would be great to have a force refresh or some other feature to give TextMate a nudge here.
I just spent a good half of my morning tracing down why ProjectPlus wouldn’t show any color badges. What was confusing is that it worked in one directory and wouldn’t in another. I finally discovered that checking out with Subversion 1.6 was causing it to fail. If I checked out sources with Subversion 1.5 it did work. For the moment I switched back to version 1.5.
Have you got any plans in support SVN 1.6?
Are you Ciaran who I used to live with in North London, in 2001-2? Anyway I hope you’re ok, sorry if it’s not you but it looks very likely to be. The stuff you are doing looks interesting. Anyway I really hope you are well, I use facebook or my email. Our other housemate qualified as a mental health nurse and is doing well too. I’d love to hear from you. Sorry if this isn’t an appropriate place to leave a message, I’m sure you are able to delete it if not.
Hey there, first off awesome plugin! I had two things, one a question the other a bug.
First, to be clear, does projectplus actually integrate SVN behavior (update, commite, checkout, etc…)? If so, how to I call the actions for them? Right now I am using your plugin in combination with SVNMate to do the actually SVN stuff.
Second, Im noticing a strange bug with the “Folders on top” feature. I set folder on top as my default for all project and made sure that it was selected and it works fine for a little while but then all of a sudden it will revert to the basic Mac alpha sort… Im not sure what is going on here… maybe a conflict in settings or something but I have to keep manually resetting the ordering to “Folder on top” which is sort of annoying. Is there any fix for this?
